Victor Oladipo has all the tools required of an NBA player. He knows how to win. He knows how to entertain.
Oladipo is stylish, on the court and off it. Jordan Brand unveiled Oladipo as the face of its new performance sneaker, the Jordan Extra.Fly last Saturday October 1 when the shoe dropped in stores.
Game recognize game
Oladipo has a reputation for playing above the rim, making him one of the league’s legit rim-rockers. Michael Jordan sure had the Hoosier alum on his radar before the Orlando Magic drafted him in 2013. MJ welcomed him to the Jordan family immediately after the 2013 Draft, ensuring he didn’t make the same mistake Adidas made in 1984 when they slept on him.
“We are excited to add Victor, Otto (Porter Jnr.) and Cody Zeller to the Jordan family. As we continue to expand and improve our performance product, these young players will be a big part of our efforts around the game of basketball.”
Oladipo hasn’t disappointed. Whether he’s decked in corporate suits or simply donning street clothes, he is always fly. And there’s a plus to his game now that the guys at the Jordan lab figured he could use some extra hops whenever he takes flight. The new sneakers, which dropped on October 1, was custom-made for the ultra-athletic Oladipo. The Jordan Extra.Fly is equipped with Nike Zoom Air cushioning, dynamic flywire, and a synthetic heel construction that provides heel and ankle support.
Oladipo said about the Extra.Fly:
“I’ve had great results. I’ve been moving great. It’s got me moving faster and jumping higher than probably I’ve ever jumped. That all starts with how comfortable your feet are.”
Expect Oladipo to be more difficult to guard in his Jordan Extra.Fly this season as he breezes past defenders to flush it down the hole like he did in his first game for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the video below.
Off the court, Oladipo’s freshness has gotten a few more inches too. Catch him wearing the new Jordan Extra.Fly playing for the OKC or when he’s hanging with Russ, his high-flying teammate and Jordan family member. Now that’s definitely Extra.Fly.
