Anthony Davis acquired a new property in Westlake Village, just outside of Los Angeles, California for a sum of $7,479,000 on June 7, 2018.
The news broke on Monday 2nd July that the New Orleans Pelicans’ forward had recently bought the property, sparking rumors of a possible signing with the Lakers sometime in the future. Considering everyone seems to want to play with the Los Angeles Lakers nowadays, the news naturally had many thinking that the 6’11 NBA star has the Lakers set on his sights. But that’s nothing to worry about as Davis has three years left on his five-year $145 million contract.
The 15,734sqft two-storey property, which sits on a 2.33 acre lot, is an exquisite Contemporary Mediterranean architecture located within Club Estates – an exclusive gated community in North Ranch. The five-bedroom property was built in 1996 and recently remodeled to cater to modern tastes.
The luxurious property also boasts seven bathrooms, a state-of-the-art theater, gym, an infinity edge swimming pool with double slides, an outdoor kitchen, and a spa. It also comes with a guest house with its own fireplace, bar, and bath; and, of course, an indoor basketball court.
While Davis enjoys the remainder of his contract with the Pelicans, he can always get used to the social environment in Los Angeles now that he has a home just outside the city. Maybe an occasional drive to the Staples Center would lure him to the Lakers when he becomes a free agent.
